Today I celebrate one of the biggest .com success stories. I tip my hat to an idea that was not ground breaking, but was truly innovative in how they brought it to the masses. The speed to mass adoption had Google scooping it up in less than two years for 1.65 billion dollars. Not to shabby for a site that started with a video simply titled “Me At the Zoo.” Here is a peak at the beginning 20 videos on through the most viral videos from last year.

Today was an epic day. It was the official beginning of the new season with the complete digital team at Integrity Music 2.5 (representing the 25 year anniversary we will see in May 2012). When I made the decision to sign up for the new Integrity Music that would move into the David C Cook family, I wasn’t sure what my digital team would look like. The one thing I did know was God called me to it (more on that here).

From June 2011 to April 2012, I have seen God weave his plan through relationships and true God timing. I could spend a few blogs detailing this testimony of His providential hand upon a clear purpose He has for the digital team at Integrity Music. I’ll spare you and just summarize by saying the people he has brought into this team I could have never dreamed or even asked for…which further edifies the truth found in Ephesians 3:20.

Today I had the honor of welcoming Paul Bae to the team, at least the official “in the office” start date. Truth be told, Paul started working well before his official first week. What I love about professionals like Paul is they eat and breathe the passion that calls them to the game they’re committed to elevate.

Paul comes from a background of working with mass media companies like Google, MTV, and CBS where his digital prowess garnered an award winning success. In fact, I can say he is the only Emmy Award winning (for his digital engagement/community building work on Smallville) guy I’ve ever worked with. And more impressive, he’s a humble dude who would never wave that accolade around…so I will :-)

Today was a fruition of Psalm 37:4 for me. I have an all-star team from Chad Powell, Jim Gray, and Paul Bae. It’s a beautiful mosaic of talent that touches every aspect of digital creativety, innovation, collaboration, creation, and most importantly execution.

Honestly, one year ago I had no idea how God was going to deliver on what I knew as His promise to take this ministry to the next level. Today as I look around our team, I see an undeniable hand in how He brought us all together. The best days are ahead. And today I welcome the final member of the team that will bring those dreams to fruition. The best teams are defined by the people. I’m blessed to have a true “A” team that will innovate and lead in a way that will have the industry talking.
